2 ` Filtration: Filtration is used to remove smaller suspended particles from water. It involves passing water through various filter media, such as sand, activated carbon, or multimedia filters. These filters physically trap the particles and improve water clarity.
3 ` Coagulation and flocculation: In this process, chemicals called coagulants are added to water to destabilize and aggregate the suspended particles. Flocculants are then added to form larger particles called flocs, which can be easily separated from water through sedimentation or filtration.
